Actually

I gasped when I realised part way through changing Naomi on our bed that she had a dirty nappy. She immediately said "REUBEN DID IT".

Naomi and I disagreed over whether the snowman on her top was a snowman or a tatoo (she's very proud of a temporary tatoo on her arm). She definitely thought I was wrong and backed up her claim with "Daddy knows it tatoo",

The word Bonjour came  up in the car and Naomi said "I love bonjour!". She does hear French each week at Mums and Tots.

Naomi looked at her (painted) face in the mirror and said "Tok Guzel" (cok guzel is Turkish for very beautiful and she hears it a lot).

Naomi was hiding behind the headboard of the bed and peeping out saying "Merhaba" and "Iyiyim" - meaning Hi, and  I'm fine, in Turkish

Naomi held up a piece of scrap paper and said:
In bin?
Me: yes
Naomi: yes please?
Me: yes please.
She screwed it up, and then suddenly said:
"NOMI MADE A BOAT!" [sailed it around for a minute] Then
"Add water...drink it" (doing actions throughout),
Mmore water, drink" ...
"Eat"...
"Mix...round" - COFFEE!"

Ayayou - means "Where are you?" (said with the intonation you'd use when searching) or I'm hiding.

Naomi coloured in a Christmas card and when we asked her who it was for she said "Santa". I have no idea where she got that - we'd say Father Christmas, and we don't talk much about him before December.

Reuben's Cub pack did a Recycle Raingutter Regatta - they made boats from rubbish/recycling and then took turns to blow them along a drainpipe. Reuben selected all his own materials (mainly an olive oil bottle, and an old laundry powder bag) and designed and made his own boat, with a little help at the end with a keel. The races were exciting, with everyone cheering round the edges. He won the final race (having come second in his den and so got through to the race offs at the end). It was a fun day, although he was a bit shy about all the cheers and attention that came with winning.

Naomi saw a picture of African children and said "Bonjour!"

Naomi said "Mon amor" That's Daddy - that's in French.

I asked Naomi if she wanted to sit on 'that chair' when we were at the park - she said in a firm, corrective voice "Bench actually".
I said "Bread shop" she said "Bakery, actually";
I said "Jumper" she said "Cardigan actually"
...
yes, yes, she's right most of the time
